Dune Imperium: how much table talk is too much

We had a night where two players basically negotiated the whole Imperium row like it was a flea market and the third guy sat there steaming because he ‘just wanted to play cards.’

I think Dune Imperium wants a little theater — deals, threats, fake smiles — but I’m not sure where the line is before it stops being fun for quieter players.

How do you handle table talk? Open negotiation, limited to combat spaces only, or hard mode stony silence?

Also yes I know Uprising exists; we’re still on base + Immortality. Same question applies.

Its semi coop vibes until it isnt. We allow deals with no binding enforcement. keeps it spicy

Nothing in the rules stops talk. Your social contract does.
