Solo Gaming Isn't Lonely — It's a Different Kind of Social
I see solo gaming get dismissed as “sad” or “missing the point” and I want to push back.
I post session reports on BGG. I discuss strategies on forums. I watch playthroughs and talk about them with friends. The community around solo gaming is vibrant and social — we just play the physical game alone.
It’s no different from reading a book alone and then discussing it at book club. The experience is solitary. The community isn’t.
